I had a few people write me recently and ask if I had closed my business or something because they haven’t heard much from me, even on social media.

No, I haven’t.

The past two months have been about completely re-vamping and pivoting within the business.

You see, when I was living in Tampa Bay, I was doing a lot of 1 to 1 work with clients, often on-site. It was a great business model and worked well, but when we made the move to the Tallahassee area back in July 2017, that business model no longer worked.

We moved from an area of 1,000,000+ people to a county that only had 7,500 people in it.

So that meant that I needed to change the way I did business.

To constantly travel to Tallahassee would mean a 30 minute commute each way, just to get to a client’s office. And I was trying to get away from all of that. I know that to a lot of you, a 30 minute commute isn’t much, but for me, it was something that I was trying to avoid. That means more car costs, gas, wear and tear on the cars, etc. And since there aren’t any trains available, I would have to drive myself, which means non-productive time.

So after taking a couple of months off after the move, I started really thinking about how I was going to revamp my biz. While I tried a few different things, they just didn’t work out.

And I was getting super frustrated.

I was trying to launch a new course and had people interested, but there was just too much to do.

And I will admit that I’m a control freak about what gets done in my business. I’m cool about other things, but no one knows or loves this business as much as I do, so I usually feel like I’m the only one that can get anything done. I know, I know – I gotta loosen up!

I have been. One of the reasons why I’ve been so quiet over the past 2.5 months.

So let me catch you up on everything that’s been happening and what’s going to happen over the next couple of months!

June for me was a neutral month. Not much happened besides starting the beta test of my new program. That didn’t finish due to some logistical stuff, but a new beta is coming up!

In July, I had the good fortune to attend Grant Cardone’s Sales Bootcamp. I admit that I have a lot to learn when it comes to actually making sales, so going to the Bootcamp was a fantastic opportunity. It was a great time and I learned a TON. Can’t wait to start implementing what I learned.

August was more about logistics for me. What I had planned on doing back in January, I realized wouldn’t work for me. It didn’t feel right and my gut was telling me that I needed to focus on doing things a different way.

September has been all about clients. I picked up 2 new paid clients and 2 pro-bono clients. These pro-bono clients are great because I needed some updated website examples for my portfolio AND it let’s me give back to the community in a way that for me, is pretty quick and easy and does them a LOT of good.

My paid & pro-bono clients are very happy with everything that I’ve done for them, so I’m working on putting their testimonials on the website and writing up white papers about what I did and what the expected results are.

I’ve also been working on creating a series of webinars for my fellow biz peeps that need some extra support in their businesses. I’ll be explaining some little things that can help them create some huge shifts in their businesses.

I’m also working on getting my podcast back up and going AND my new book is about to be released!

So it’s been a pretty crazy couple of months for me. I haven’t shared a lot via social media but that’s been partially by choice and partially because I just haven’t had time. I’ve been prepping for so many new things to come your way that I’ve had to force myself to stay off social media so I don’t get sucked into that black hole. I love seeing what my friends are doing, but I also realize that you aint’ making money if you’re staring at the social.

Keep an eye out on the blog here, and on social too, as I’ll be making some super cool announcements really soon about upcoming events and program openings.
